Joplin Junction
Joplin Junction, on the north side of Picher served two purposes.
Notice two chimneys? 
They served different company offices.
One was the local trolley that ran from Douthat through Picher to Cardin, Commerce and Miami.
The other served the trolley that served Baxter Springs, Riverton, Galena and JOPLIN!
Miami Merchants demanded that the local trolley not go to Joplin for fear of business loss.
