The Cornfield Mine, started in 1914 by D. W. Cooter and associates, is the mine that
caved in on January 15, 1950.  This caused the Eagle Picher Co. to re-evaluate the safety
of the Netta Mine in Picher, thereby condemning most of Main Street there. 
The Lucky Bill Co. later obtained the Lucky Syndicate mine.
