John
David Searl of Cardin died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008,
at Miami Nursing Center after an illness. He was
55.
Mr. Searl was born March 29, 1953, in Miami to
Eural Loren “Bill” and Rosie (Gillett) Searl. He
lived in the Cardin area most of his life except
for several years in Tulsa.
He was
a veteran of the Army.
He had worked for Searl Mechanical in Tulsa. He
was of the Assembly of God faith.
His wife, Barbara Crites, preceded him in death on
Aug. 25, 2007.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two
brothers, Gene Searl and Howard (Boscoe) Searl;
three sisters, Carolyn Tanner, Barbara Rusher and
Lavetta Fatrick, and one great-grandson. |

Survivors
include one son, Michael Hilton of Quapaw; two
daughters, Kara Snow of North Miami and Kim Dixon
of Miami; one sister, Martha Searl of Commerce,
seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. The
Rev. Charles Clevenger officiated.
Pallbearers were Gene Snow, Danny Snow, Stacy
Snow, Alex Snow and Michael Hilton.
