Jimmie L. Sharbutt Sr. of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday July 24, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was 72.

He was born in Picher, Oklahoma on July 13, 1940 to Curtis and Eva (Redden) Sharbutt. He lived in the Picher area all his life and graduated from Picher High School in 1960. He was a retired truck driver for WSKT out of Parsons, Kansas. He served our country in the Army during Vietnam. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Highway Tabernacle in Quapaw, Oklahoma. He married Donna Mills on December 16, 1989 in Cardin, Oklahoma, she survives of the home.

He is preceded in death by a son Kendall Sharbutt, six brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by four sons Donnie Cole and wife Renae of Miami, Ok, Jimmie Sharbutt Jr. of Beaumont, TX, John Wall of Kissimmee, FL, and Kevin Sharbutt of Bernice, OK. He is also survived by one daughter Kandi Peterson of Joplin, MO, one brother Paul (Huck) Sharbutt and wife Shirley of Miami, OK, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2012 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. Brother Ray Clonts will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Southard, Stan Carroll, Darrell Carroll, Mike Sharbutt, Bobby Rush, and Joe Sharbutt Jr. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Oklahoma
