Frederick Day Gerhart

Fred Gerhart passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born on July 3, 1935 to Bertha and Samuel Gerhart in Silver City, New Mexico. Fred moved with his parent when he was two to Picher, Oklahoma where he grew up. He graduated from Picher High School and then joined the U.S. Army in 1954. After being discharged from the Army, Fred moved to Santa Monica, California where he met his beautiful wife to be Rose and they were married in 1960. Together they two children, Steve and Dana. They family moved to Las Vegas in 1974, where they raised their children. He worked at Harrah's for over 20 years as a 21 dealer and pit boss. Fred retired in 2005 and has been golfing ever since. He loved baseball, specifically the YANKEES! Fred is preceded in death by his son; Steve, his parents; five brothers and one sister. He leaves behind his lovely wife Rose; daughter Dana; Grandson Andrew and extensive family members. Fred would love to be remembered for his Hole-in-One at Red Rock Country Club Arroyo in Las Vegas.
