Esther Rickey of Commerce, Okla., passed away, Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. He was 85.

Mr. Rickey was born Sept. 16, 1926, at Sallisaw, Okla. to
Clarence and Josephine (King) Rickey.

He had lived in Picher most of his life, moving to Commerce in 2008.
He was an asphalt contractor.

Mr. Rickey was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Rickey;
and a son Joe Allen Rickey.

Survivors include, one son, Jim Rickey of Commerce; one brother, Clarence Rickey of Bates City, Mo.; five sisters, Goldie Bailey of Joplin, Mo., Bernice Bettes of Joplin, Mabel Bailey of Joplin, Bonnie Dudley of Miami, Okla. and Peggy Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild;

Graveside services were Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Darrel Smith  officiated.
