Elva Frieda (Geren) Von Moss of Bartlesville, Oklahoma formerly of Commerce, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday May 17, 2012 at Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She is 93.
She was born in Sebastian County, Arkansas to Elmer Ross Geren Sr. and Thelma Virgil (Pachl) Geren on August 13, 1918. She graduated from Caseville, Missouri High School in 1936. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK. She moved from Commerce to Bartlesville in December of 2004 to be near her daughter. She loved her flowers and loved to read. She married Albert VonMoss Jr. on December 25, 1938, he preceded her in death.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Son-in-law John Ewbank, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Edward and Hazel VonMoss, Amos and Freda VonMoss, brother-in-law Jay Patton and sister-in-law Margaret Ann Geren.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Ewbanks, brother
Elmer Ross Geren Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark., sister-in-law
Velma Patton of Commerce, OK, Brother-in-law and
sister-in-law Rev. Fred and Georgia VonMoss of Quapaw,
Okla.,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. Rev. Fred VonMoss and Rev. Jerry VonMoss will officiate.
