Bonnie Doris Cheater of Miami, Okla., formerly of Picher, Okla. passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, Okla. She was 76.

Mrs. Cheater was born July 10, 1935 in Picher, Okla. to Bert and Julia Juanita (Redden) Thomas. She had lived in Picher most of her life, she was a homemaker and grandmother. She was a member of the Highway Tabernacle Church in Quapaw, Okla.

She had married Bill Cheater on June 2, 1967 in Miami, Okla. and he preceded her in death in Feb. 5, 2001, she was also preceded by her parents and two brother-in-laws Bob O'Neal and George "Tudge" Blalock.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Cheater and wife Kerri of Commerce, Okla., Billy Cheater and wife Cindy of Bernice, Okla.; two daughters, Teresa " Hargis" Kinney and husband Rick of Miami, Okla., Diane Hanover and husband James "Red Dog" of Quapaw, Okla.; three sisters, Mable Brittle and husband Bill of Miami, Okla., Roberta Richards and husband Judson of Fairland, Okla., Louise Blalock of Fairland, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great -great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday Nov. 14, 2011 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Okla. Rev. Ray Clonts will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma, Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews, Bert "Half Pint" Bresee, Danny Fleming, Travis Fleming, Dustin Fleming, Zaine Hopkins Cheater, Ernie Smith and George Blalock. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brody Cheater, Whitney Cheater and Jadee Cheater. Mrs. Cheater will lie in state at her home 3051 Reno N.W. in Miami, OK until Monday morning.
