Evelyn Geneva Kerr of Miami died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Eastwood Manor in Commerce. She was 89.

Mrs. Kerr was born Aug. 29, 1917, in Joplin, Mo., to Cecil and Callie (Roark) Gardner. She lived in the Picher and Cardin area most of her life.

She worked as a cook in the Picher-Cardin School System for many years. She was a member of Cardin Christian Church.

She married Everett "Shug" Green on Oct. 9, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1953.

She married C.H. Kerr in 1958. He preceded her in death in 1967.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dean Patton and Gene Patton, and one sister, Doris Welch.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Harold "Butch" and Elaine Green of Garland, Texas, and Everett "Sonnie" and Claudette Green of Quapaw; three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Danny Garner and Donna and Charles Oexman, all of Miami, and Ruth and Steve Tetrev of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Norma Jones of Antioch, Calif., and Marie Marlow of Wyandotte; two brothers, Jay Patton of Commerce and Henry Patton of Miami, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
