Hefley, Rose

Edna Rose Hefley, 79 year old resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma died in Tulsa on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.  Rose was an only child, born April 21, 1937 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Richard L. Kerby and Ava (Smith) Kerby.   After graduating from Picher-Cardin School in 1956,  she was united in marriage with Jack D. Hefley and they made their home in the Kansas City area until relocating to Tulsa in September 1971.  Rose and Jack selected their church in Tulsa before they moved and were members of Community Christian Church until it closed earlier this year. 
After the closing of Community Christian Church, began attending Forest Park Christian Church

Rose was a very active lady.  For 26 years she worked for Tulsa Public Schools as an Administrative Support employee, and worked in many areas at both Mayo and Hale.  She was a Den Mother for her three sons whom each progressed in scouting to earn their Eagle Scout.  She sponsored the church youth group and chaperoned trips.  And, Rose was the family travel agent scheduling vacations for all of the family.  
Rose is survived by her devoted husband, Jack of the home in Tulsa; three sons, Dan Hefley and wife, Kim, John Hefley and wife, Laura, and Robert Hefley; two adopted sons, Frank Calderon and wife, Kim, and Adam Beck; 12 nine grandchildren, Kerby and fiancée, Kristen, Troyce, Shanlyn, J.J., Casey, Rachael, Andrea Kay Tyree and husband, Robbie, Robert Zane, Aubrey Kovisto and husband, Josh, Hayden and Hanna Calderon, and Robbie Pierce; 9 great-grandchildren; her life-long friend, Patty Grogg; and several cousins.
