Ms.
Dottie Coons left this world behind and entered into heaven's
gates on
Thursday morning, July 21, 2011 at her home in Vinita,
Oklahoma.
Dottie was born July 4, 1938 in Whitebird, Oklahoma to her
parents
Fred and Nadine Sooter.
Dottie was a longtime resident of Chetopa, Kansas owning and
operating
Dottie’s Flower Shop for many years. She was also the co-owner
of
Huntsman Camper, Inc. Dottie was a faithful member of
Oswego First Baptist and loved her church family dearly.
She also served as a pre-need counselor for Cooper-Althouse
Funeral Home
for many years as well.
Dottie loved people and was a true servant to many. Several
children were blessed with Dottie’s love as she became a foster
parent. No child went unloved on Dottie’s watch.
She is survived by her one son, Billy Ellsworth of South
Coffeyville, Oklahoma;
one daughter, Sheryl Bible of Vinita, Oklahoma; one sister,
Linda Gray
of Vinita, Oklahoma; four brothers, Buddy Sooter of Hesperia,
CA,
Jimmy Sooter of Fairland, Oklahoma, Leon Sooter of Miami,
Oklahoma, and Johnny Sooter of Fairland, Oklahoma;
four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister,
Shirley Thomas; and one daughter, Diana Kay Ellsworth.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011
at
Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lin Jones
officiating.
Interment will follow at GAR Cemetery.
