| Ruth Green and Mike Powell Collins Powell (Mike's dad) tells of his mother taking care of Ruthie while Evelyn (Ruth's mom) had things to do. The Greens lived right across from the Powells, so it was a natural. Any way, once when Collins came home on leave, Ruthie was in the middle of the living room floor with clothes pins all around her, and an empty bucket near by. She would pick up the clothes pins, putting them into the bucket. When they were all picked up, she would ask someone to scatter them again. I remember my mom doing that for kids, but had forgotten about it. We made do without T.V. in those days just fine. |
